David grew up in Colorado and moved to Namibia, Africa for a 2 year mission commitment when he was twenty years old. During his first year there he met Sandy at a discipleship training school and they were married in 2003. After returning to the U.S., David studied missions at Central Christian College of the Bible. In 2009 he and Sandy graduated as Co-Valedictorians of their class and in 2010 the two returned to Namibia to serve at Community Hope School.

Sandy was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. Her father is an Afrikaner from South Africa and her mother emigrated from Scotland to South Africa as a child. Sandy met her husband David in Namibia while studying at a discipleship school in 2002. After their marriage she moved to the United States and studied missions at Central Christian College of the Bible. Sandy and David graduated in May 2009 as Co-Valedictorians of their class; one year later they began a new ministry in Namibia.
